Back to School Clothing Program Distribution by Appointment Only

Preregister for Back-to-School clothing distribution by July 26th.

Las Cruces, NM – On this edition of PUENTES a la comunidad, bridges to the community, host Emily Guerra met with Las Cruces Gospel Rescue Mission Clothing Room Manager, Wylene Saunders, about their annual “Back-to-School Clothing Program.” Nearly 700 children in need in the community benefit from the program each year. Distribution this year will be held the week of July 29th through August 2nd by appointment only from 12 noon to 5 p.m. Saunders says that parents or guardians must pre-register children through July 26th from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at the Gospel Rescue Mission Clothing Room,1416 S. Solano Drive. Only those registered will be permitted to select and pick up clothing.

The Clothing Room needs donations and volunteers. Donations can be monetary or new socks, new underwear and new shoes for ages 3 to 18, clothing can be new or slightly used, and school supplies. Volunteers are needed to help prior to and during the week of distribution. Clothing, donations and school supplies can be brought to the Gospel Rescue Mission Clothing Room, Monday, Wednesday or Friday, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., 1416 S. Solano Drive or at the Las Cruces Gospel Rescue Mission, 1050 West Amador Avenue, open daily, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. To volunteer or for questions, call Wylene Saunders at 575-642-9619.
