7th Natural History of the Gila Symposium

Seventh Natural History of the Gila Symposium - February 22-24.

Las Cruces, NM – On this edition of PUENTES, bridges to the community, host Emily Guerra meets with Western New Mexico University (WNMU) Professor of Biology, Dr. William “Bill” Norris, to talk to us about the Seventh Natural History of the Gila Symposium.

Since 2006, The Natural History of the Gila Symposium in Silver City has provided local and regional researchers a place to share multiple perspectives of the Gila Region, and other areas of New Mexico, Arizona, and Mexico. Students from WNMU, Eastern Arizona College, New Mexico State University and the University of New Mexico also give presentations and preparations of the Symposium.

The Seventh Natural History of the Gila Symposium is free of charge to all participants on the campus of WNMU on February 22nd – 24th. Special Field Trips are scheduled for Saturday. The entire schedule is available at www.gilasymposium.org. More information is also available at www.desertexposure.com.
