August 8, 2014 – Las Cruces, NM - On this edition of PUENTES, Emily Guerra bridges the community with New Mexico Department of Health Immunization Program Coordinator, Debby Hanus, RN, to discuss immunizations. All children attending day care and school require immunizations. According to the NMDOH, “childhood immunizations are the most effective preventive health intervention, resulting in a 90% reduction in vaccine preventable diseases since the 1950’s.”
The Southwest Region Public Health Department will conduct “Back to School Shot Clinics” on Monday, August 11th and Tuesday, August 12 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cineport-10 Theatre in the Mesilla Valley Mall in Las Cruces.
