Like many organizations they have gone to virtual experiences online.
A music festival “Make Music Day” started nearly 40 years ago in France as “Fete de la Musique. It is now held on the same day in more than 1,000 cities in 120 countries with affiliates as far as China and Africa on June 21, the Solstice, the longest day of the year.
It is the first year the local NM-Las Cruces chapter for the Make Music Alliance based in Brooklyn, NY will hold “Make Music Day Las Cruces” as a free, ongoing virtual musical experience. The event will be on Father’s day, Sunday, June 21st, from 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. on social media platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Twitch.
