Recently, faith leaders and immigrant advocates from New Mexico traveled to Washington, D.C. to advocate for a pathway to citizenship for essential workers. Some advocates took part in a four-day solidarity fast to shine light on the issue.
On this program, we learn more about the #WeAreEssential Fast for Freedom from Nena Benavidez, a community organizer from Silver City, New Mexico with NM CAFé and Irvin Villa, a Dreamer and essential worker from Anthony, New Mexico. Also joining the program is Stevie Paz, a digital organizer with NM CAFé.
