Christa Attigobe, Centennial High School

KRWG Public Media features interviews with the Las Cruces Mayor's Top Teens in between programs on KRWG-TV. Each week, KRWG is also featuring a Top Teen on its website.

Christa is a past participant of TeenPact Leadership School- a week long state conference that teaches middle school and high school students about government.

She received a Centennial High School Academic Letter Award and was a participant in the New Mexico State University Young Women in Computing.  She was a Distinguished Young Women of New Mexico Finalist: a national scholarship program that promotes and rewards scholarship, leadership, and talent in young women.  She was also a nominee and future participant of the National Youth Leadership Forum on Advanced Medicine and Healthcare at Johns Hopkins University

Her organizations include Varsity Track, Orchestra, National Honor Society, Centennial High School Renaissance Club, and Boys and Girls Club Leader.

Christa served her community through 4-H by participating in food drives for the local homeless shelters, making blankets for homeless children, setting up luminarias for the Christmas season at Fort Seldon, picking up trash around her school and city, and so much more.  She has also joined the Boys and Girls Club and has spent several hours a week this past summer interacting with these young people and helping them, but also learning from them in so many ways.
