NMSU Faculty Lectures @ the Library: Dr. Margo Tamez, Dr. Cynthia Bejarano, Dr. Jeffrey Shepherd
Drs. Margo Tamez, Cynthia Bejarano, and Jeffrey Shepherd present their new book, Gathering Together, We Decide: Archives of Dispossession, Resistance, and Memory in Ndé Homelands (The University of Arizona Press). Produced in response to the U.S. Government's takeover of Indigenous and familial land for a portion of the border wall, this book highlights an archive of resistance work including: scholarly analyses, testimonios, artwork, legal briefs, poetry, and other cultural productions. The editors of this series will discuss this important collection of work produced by Ndé leaders, Indigenous elders, settler-allies, Native youth, and others associated with the Tamez family. This lecture is part of the NMSU Faculty Lectures @ the Library series put on by the NMSU Library
