Healthcare in Crisis: Provider Shortage in New Mexico

The Academy for Learning in Retirement's four-part series in January 2026 will discuss “Healthcare in Crisis: Provider Shortage in New Mexico.” Presenters and topics are: Tuesday, January 6 - “What are the Issues,” Katrina Fisher; January 8 - “The Physicians’ Perspective Panel,” Jana Williams, M.D., Jean-Pierre Reinhold, M.D., Marco Duarte, M.D.; Tuesday, January 13 – “Medical Reform in the 2026 Legislation,” Richard Mason; and Wednesday, January 14 – “How to Get Involved,” Kathe Stark and Joanne Turnbull.

The live presentations will be held at the Doña Ana Community College – East Mesa auditorium and will also be available as a Zoom broadcast.

Audience members may register for the Academy for Learning in Retirement’s four January sessions or for all 16 ALR Spring presentations at https://tinyurl.com/ALR-Reg. People may also register with cash or checks at the door. ALR will send announcements and Zoom links to registrants on the evening before each presentation. Zoom registrants may log in on Zoom after 10:00 a.m. and each presentation will begin at 10:30 a.m. Free coffee and cookies will be available in the nearby DACC Student Resources Building from 9:45 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.

$5/day, $20 for 4 sessions, $48 for 16 presentations.
