Family Prosperity Film Screening of Inherent Good
The Family Prosperity team of Community Action Agency, Families and Youth Innovations Plus, and Jardin de los Ninos is hosting a free screening of the film "Inherent Good" and providing a free dinner in honor of the national movement to build awareness of cash support programs for the Annual Basic Income Day-of-Action. The film examines cash support through diverse stories of perseverance from heartland Americans and firsthand accounts from participants in a groundbreaking basic income pilot program launched in Jackson, Mississippi for Black mothers living in poverty.
After the movie, there will be a Q&A panel featuring the film's director Steve Borst, Mayor Pro-Tem Kasandra Gandara, City Councilor Johana Bencomo, a Family Prosperity recipient and members of the Family Prosperity team.
