Building Relational Equity for Campus Inclusion
Dr. Mako Fitts Ward is the Director of the
Social Transformation Lab and Assistant
Professor of African American and
Women and Gender Studies in the
School of Social Transformation at
Arizona State University (ASU). She is
also an affiliate faculty in the ASU
Herberger Institute for Design and the
Arts. Ward consults with a range of
organizations to provide training,
strategic planning and data-informed
solutions to amplify organizational
investments in inclusive equity. She has
fostered numerous collaborations
across universities and for profit and
non-profit organizations related to
diversity, equity, and inclusion. She also
works closely with the ASU-Starbucks
partnership, and their Global Social
Impact team serving as curricular colead of 'To Be Welcoming', an on-online
learning series of 15 courses that
address bias, power, and difference.
