Las Cruces, NM – Months after Arizona's State Superintendent declared Tuscon's Mexican-American Studies program illegal, teachers are grappling with how to teach history in a way that's relevant, accurate, and legal.

NMSU librarian and Professor Molloy Molloy has made it her mission to gather and file information and numbers from local newspaper reports on the daily count of murders in Juarez. She has created what is called the Frontera List- a detailed record of the victims including their name, age, gender and where they were killed. She talks about her work on the border in part one of a three part series
