New Mexico COVID-19 Vaccinations: 70% Have Had One Shot; 62% Fully Vaccinated

SANTA FE – The New Mexico Department of Health (DOH) announced on Tuesday that the state has reached the significant milestone of administering at least one COVID vaccine dose to 70.7% of New Mexicans 16 years of age and older.

“After hitting our 60% goal, we continue to make steady progress. Thank you to every New Mexican for getting your shots - and for protecting yourselves and your loved ones,” said DOH Cabinet Secretary Dr. Tracie Collins.

New Mexicans can register and self-schedule their vaccinations at vaccineNM.org

New Mexicans who are at least 18 years old and who have received at least one COVID-19 vaccination may opt in to the state’s Vax 2 the Max sweepstakes at vax2themaxNM.org. To be eligible for the $5 million grand prize, New Mexicans must have completed their vaccination series.
