Who do you want to be when you grow up? The UAM invites you to join one our workshop where participants will engage in conversations about self-representation and learn photography basics. Inspired by Cindy Sherman's Untitled Film Stills on display in the NMSU Art Museum, participants in the workshops will have the opportunity to study the work of Cindy Sherman, then use props, costumes, backdrops, and lighting to create a scene that reflects their aspirations for the future. Some props and costumes will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own items. After the workshop, everyone will receive a physical print of their image.

Local artist Marcus Xavier Chormicle will lead the workshop, teaching students about the work of Cindy Sherman and helping photograph each scene.
