Silver City, NM- Western New Mexico University announced Thursday that Spring 2021 graduates and their guests can participate virtually or in person during the commencement ceremony set for Friday, May 7th.
The school says that the event will be held outdoors with limited capacity at Ben Altamirano Stadium.
The university says the in-person ceremony will use an e-ticket system. During the event, the college will require masks for everyone and enforce the state’s public health orders with social distancing. WNMU says the event will also follow New Mexico Higher Education Department guidelines for commencement ceremonies.
Graduates participating virtually will be represented on a large screen in Ben Altamirano Stadium during the event as was seen during virtual ceremonies of the past year.
WNMU says the event will be live on Facebook and wnmu.edu.
