Las Cruces police are investigating the report of an armed robbery at the Walgreens store at 2300 E. Lohman Ave.
Shortly after 12 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, police were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery at the Walgreens store at 2300 E. Lohman Ave. Officers learned that a man entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded prescription drugs from the pharmacy.
The suspect was last seen leaving the store and heading south on foot.
Nearby schools were placed on shelter-in-place as a precautionary measure. That order has since been lifted and schools can continue with their regular schedules.
Police are continuing their investigation.
