The City of Las Cruces will unveil the “Coach Jim Bradley Championship Way” roadway designation at 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, in the west side parking lot of the Field of Dreams.
The designation allows a portion of Tashiro Drive to honor the late Jim Bradley as requested by family and friends.
Coach Bradley was born and raised in Las Cruces, and graduated from Las Cruces High School and New Mexico State University. He served in the U.S. Army, and helped with the building of the Apodaca Baseball Complex. He began a Little League Football organization in Las Cruces and coached American Legion Baseball. He also was influential in the creation of the Field of Dreams and Aggie Memorial Stadium.
Bradley received recognition from the National High School Athletic Coaches Association, the New Mexico High School Athletic Coaches Association, and New Mexico State University.
The City of Las Cruces had proclaimed September 21, 2016 as Jim Bradley Day.
His football coaching record was:

NMSU (W)23, (L)31, (T)1 (4th winningest coach in NMSU history.)
Coach Bradley passed in August 2015 at the age of 82. Sons Michael and Gary Bradley coach in New Mexico: Michael, currently at Mayfield High School in Las Cruces and Gary at Carlsbad High School.
