Structure protection also continued west of Hwy 337. Fire behavior could become active during the afternoon due to unstable weather conditions.
Weather: Weather today will be hot, dry and unstable with variable light winds throughout the day. Shifting winds are expected today which could cause embers to cross the fireline resulting in possible spot fires.
Smoke Impact: The National Weather Service (weather.gov) has issued an air quality alert for the area near the fire through mid-day Friday: http://1.usa.gov/1Ue2rxY Smoke-sensitive individuals and people with respiratory problems are encouraged to take precautionary measures.
