A suspended Albuquerque Public Schools kindergarten teacher accused of possessing child pornography has pleaded not guilty.
Prosecutors say 39-year-old Joshua Weitz was arraigned Friday on federal charges.
As a condition of his release, prosecutors say Weitz is living at a halfway house under supervision pending trial.
Weitz was arrested Nov. 4 on suspicion of sexual exploitation of a child and 25 counts of intent to distribute child pornography.
The Albuquerque resident bonded out of jail two days later.
Federal prosecutors say Weitz was arrested again Nov. 11 on a federal criminal complaint accusing him with distribution, receipt and possession of visual depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
The complaint alleges Weitz received and possessed child porn in October while he was a kindergarten teacher at Whittier Elementary School.
