Las Cruces, Mesilla and Dona Ana County fire units are working to contain a blaze burning a house, a shop and adjacent work shed on Highway 28, near the intersection of Carver road (11:15 a.m. update).
According to the Dona Ana County Sheriff Department spokesperson Kelly Jameson, dispatch received calls of loud explosions in the area.
