Free New Mexico Family Pass Now Available at Las Cruces Library

  Local residents can now visit Thomas Branigan Memorial Library to check out a pass, good for free admission to 15 state museums and historic sites. 

Three Family Passes are available for check out by library card holders in good standing.  Borrowers must be over the age of 18 or have a parent or guardian with them.  The pass can be checked out for three weeks and will allow free access for up to six (6) people.  Passes are also available at the branch libraries at Munson Senior Center and Sage Café. Check out policies are the same as for a book, with overdue fines assessed for late returns as well as a replacement fee for a lost pass.

The 15 state museums and historic sites are located in the following towns: Santa Fe (Museum of Indian Arts & Culture, the Museum of International Folk Art, the New Mexico History Museum/Palace of the Governors and the New Mexico Museum of Art.), Albuquerque (National Hispanic Cultural Center and the Museum of Natural History and Science), Alamogordo (New Mexico Space History Museum), and Las Cruces (the Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum).

Seven designated historic sites around the state include: Coronado, El Camino Real Trail, Fort Seldon, Fort Stanton, Fort Sumner/Bosque Redondo Memorial, Jemez, and Lincoln.  For locations and museum and historic site information, please visit www.newmexicoculture.org/visit.

This program was created by the New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs and the New Mexico State Library.  The pilot program will run from now until the end of August 2016.
