Construction work on two interchanges is expected to slow traffic on a four-mile stretch of Interstate 10 in Las Cruces for much of the rest of the year.
The New Mexico Department of Transportation is starting a project to rebuild a bridge at the Mesquite interchange, build roundabouts at the Vado interchange and realign ramps for both interchanges.
The Las Cruces Sun-News reports that the $9.1 million project begins this week.
