Rolling Roadblocks Friday Near I-10 Vado Exit

Las Cruces: The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) District One office will be assisting law enforcement with a rolling roadblock Friday, November 8th on I-10 due to an approved quarry blast operation by a contractor that is in close proximity of the interstate.

The rolling roadblock is scheduled for 9:45 am until 10:15 am, which will be stationed at mile marker 155, Vado exit. Motorists will be encountering a reduction in speed to 15 MPH for approximately 1mile for those traveling east and westbound on I-10. The frontage road located east of I-10 will be blocked during this operation in order to secure the area.

Updates on road projects and traffic alerts will be posted on the Department’s web site www.NMroads.com, and can be retrieved by calling 511 in New Mexico or 1-800-432-4269 out of state.
