Las Cruces Police Investigate Armed Robberies

Las Cruces Police are investigating two armed robberies that occurred Wednesday evening in adjoining businesses.

Shortly before 10 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, Las Cruces Police were dispatched to 1850 N. Valley Drive where armed robberies were reported at adjoining businesses – the Subway restaurant and Dollar General store.

Investigators learned that both suspects, believed to be Hispanic men, were armed with black handguns. They were last seen leaving the stores heading east on McClure in what might have been a maroon Ford Expedition with dark-tinted windows.

One suspect was described as around 5-feet-8 to 5-feet-10-inches tall wearing a black hoodie, blue bandana, blue jeans and white tennis shoes. The second suspect was said to be around 5-feet-9-inches tall wearing a gray hoodie, blue bandana, dark blue jeans and white shoes.

It is not known if these suspects were involved in the two armed robberies that occurred this past weekend in Las Cruces.

Anyone with information that can help identify the suspects is asked to contact Las Cruces Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or send a tip via text message to CRIMES (274637), keyword LCTIPS.

The Crime Stoppers number and text messaging services are operational 24 hours a day and you do not have to give your name to collect a reward.
