Federal authorities say a man wanted in his native Mexico for murder has been arrested at the New Mexico border.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers assigned to the Santa Teresa Port of Entry say they arrested 24-year-old Ivan Ranyhit Parra Robles of Chihuahua, Mexico.
CBP officers conducting anti-terrorism duties questioned the occupants of a pickup truck coming from Mexico on Tuesday afternoon.
They say Robles was driving the vehicle and a records check showed he had an outstanding warrant out of Mexico in connection with a homicide.
Details of the case weren't immediately available Wednesday.
Robles was taken into custody and federal officials were contacted about arranging for his repatriation to Mexico.
