Alamogordo – An Alamogordo man and his parents have all been arrested in a fatal shooting.
Alamogordo Department of Public Safety officials say 46-year-old Benjamin David Baroz Jr. was charged Friday with first-degree murder in the Aug. 30 death of 18-year-old Matthew Ray Cordova. Baroz's 46-year-old wife, Ernestine, is charged with tampering in the case.
The couple's 20-year-old son, Benjamin David Baroz III, was charged Wednesday with first-degree murder, felony shooting, felony tampering with evidence, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The younger Baroz is jailed at the Otero County Detention Center on a $1 million cash-only bond pending his arraignment.
The elder Baroz is jailed without bail for a parole violation. His wife is being held on a $30,000 bond. It's unclear if they have lawyers.
