Las Cruces Police Investigating Double Stabbing

Las Cruces – Las Cruces Police are investigating an overnight incident that resulted in stab wounds to two men.

Shortly before 1 a.m. today police were called to 330 Richard Drive where a 43-year-old man was suffering from nine stab wounds. The man was airlifted to University Medical Center of El Paso with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

A short while after officers received the initial call, a 22-year-old man arrived at Memorial Medical Center with stab wounds to his arms and a finger. His injuries also are believed to be non-life-threatening.

So far, investigators believe that some type of altercation resulted in the men pulling knives on each other. It is still unclear what the fight was about or who may have instigated it.
