New Mexico – SANTA FE, N.M. (KRWG) Former New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson is on the lecture circuit and will speak to a college in New York state next month about the nation's political landscape.
Richardson is scheduled to speak Sept. 20 at Canisius (kuh-NEE'-shuhs) College in Buffalo.
The college said his talk is entitled, "A Look at Politics in America and the Race to 2012."
Richardson ran unsuccessfully for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination. He is a former congressman and served as energy secretary and U.N. ambassador under former President Bill Clinton.
Since his second term as governor ended in 2010, Richardson has kept busy in foreign affairs, becoming an envoy to the Organization of American States. He also has joined the boards of environmental groups and other organizations.
