Albuquerque – The city of Albuquerque has agreed to pay almost $1 million to one of two magazine salesmen wrongly accused in a double murder.
Michael Lee and Travis Rowley were jailed for 15 months for the 2007 murder of an elderly couple. DNA evidence eventually linked the crime to another man, Clifton Bloomfield, who confessed to that and four other murders.
KQRE-TV Tuesday reports that Lee has settled a civil suit against the city for $950,000.
