New Mexico – Democrats in the New Mexico Senate have voted to retain their current leadership when the new legislative term begins next month.
The caucus voted by acclamation Saturday to keep Sen. Michael Sanchez of Valencia as majority leader.
Sen. Mary Jane Garcia of Dona Ana will return as majority whip and Sen. David Ulibarri of Grants will serve as Senate majority caucus chair.
