New Mexico – The Republican Governors' Association has dumped another half million dollars into GOP nominee Susana Martinez's campaign for governor.
Martinez reported Tuesday in a campaign finance report that the GOP organization was her top donor. The group has previously given $750,000.
Labor unions were top contributors to Democratic candidate Diane Denish. The National Education Association-New Mexico and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees each contributed $100,000. The Democratic Governors' Association gave $50,000.
Martinez collected $1.4 million in contributions and Denish raised $820,600 during the past month.
Martinez reported cash-on-hand of $1.3 million as of Oct. 4. Denish had about $951,000.
Martinez and Denish each spent slightly more than $1 million.
