Las Cruces – Las Cruces Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the person or persons who are responsible for a number of automobile burglaries that have been reported at the Mesilla Valley Mall.
In one of the auto burglaries, in particular, someone broke into a Ford F150 pickup and took a .40 caliber handgun and three high-capacity magazines.
So far in 2010 the Las Cruces Police Department has recorded 32 reports of auto burglaries at parking lots surrounding the mall, at 700 S. Telshor Blvd. In the month of July there have been five reports of auto burglaries from vehicles parked in mall lots.
If you have any information on who may be responsible for the auto burglaries at the mall, or anywhere else in Las Cruces or Dona Ana County, you are asked to call Las Cruces Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or send a tip via text message to LCTIPS (528477).
The Crime Stoppers number and text messaging services are operational 24 hours a day and you do not have to give your name to collect a reward.
