Las Cruces – Las Cruces Police have charged two teenagers for a pair of home burglaries.
Gabriel Polanco and Albert Terrazas, both 17, are charged with two counts of residential burglary and two counts of conspiracy. Both teens were handed juvenile Class III citations and booked into the juvenile section of the Dona Ana County Detention Center.
Shortly after 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 25, a Las Cruces Police detective spotted Polanco and Terrazas in a Chevrolet Cobalt as they left the scene of an attempted residential burglary. Polanco was driving the car and led the detective on a brief vehicle pursuit prior to stopping.
Las Cruces Police detectives learned that the pair broke into one home on Escenico Court where they took a laptop computer and then attempted to break into three other residences Tuesday afternoon but were scared away.
Detectives also found out that two weeks ago they broke into another home off of Jornada Road where they took another laptop computer.
