Las Cruces, NM – On this edition of PUENTES, bridges to the community, host Emily Guerra met with Alliance for Border Collaboratives Projects Coordinator and Binational Breastfeeding Coalition Outreach Officer, Rosalba Ruiz-Holguin, to talk to us about the importance of breast milk. Several border communities will join over 175 countries around the world in August to celebrate, promote and support breastfeeding.
World Breastfeeding Week is August 1st through 7th, their theme this year is “Breastfeeding: Foundation of Life,” good health for babies and mothers. In El Paso the Binational Breastfeeding Coalition (BBC) will hold the 7th Annual “Big Latch On” at Basset Place, 6101 Gateway Boulevard West on Saturday, August 4th from 9 am to 12 noon.
