"Mended Wings" - True stories about 10 Vietnam War Helicopter Pilots

Las Cruces, NM – On this edition of PUENTES a la comunidad, bridges to the community, host Emily Guerra spoke with New Mexico State University Alumnus, Colin P. Cahoon, about his latest book, “Mended Wings,” The Vietnam War experience through the eyes of ten American Purple Heart Vietnam War Helicopter Pilots. He says, “The parallels between our experiences in Vietnam and our recent withdrawal from Afghanistan make this book particularly relevant today.”

Cahoon was able to find 10 Vietnam veterans to open-up about their experiences during the entire war from 1966 to the end of 1972, transporting the reader back to Vietnam. He will be available at a “Book Signing” Saturday, September 25, on the NMSU campus bookstore, 1400 E. University Avenue, Las Cruces, from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.; and at COAS Books, 317 N. Main Street, downtown Las Cruces from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  “Mended Wings” is also available on Amazon and at his website – ColinPCahoon.com.
