"Icons and Symbols of the Borderland" exhibit opening reception
A new exhibition at the Las Cruces Museum of Art: Icons and Symbols of the Borderland Art from the U.S.-Mexico Crossroads, curated by Diana Molina. Live Music at the exhibit opening Friay, August 5th with Frontera Bugalu from El Paso, TX. Participating artists will be on hand to discuss their artwork. Exhibit runs thrugh October 15, 2022.
Themes of the Environment, Sacred and Profane, the Frontier/Border, and Foodways allow the artists to investigate the Mexican American, Anglo, and Indigenous experience and identity in the Borderlands.
