Las Cruces, NM – On this edition of PUENTES a la comunidad, bridges to the community, host Emily Guerra met with El Caldito Soup Kitchen Office Manager, Diane D’Ambrosio, and with 20-year volunteer, Teresa Phillips. This year El Caldito celebrates serving two million meals since 1984 in Las Cruces. Also, it’s the Potters’ Guild of Las Cruces 27th Annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser with all proceeds going to El Caldito Soup Kitchen. Soups from more than 50 local restaurants will be served on Friday, October 18th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 225 West Griggs Street, at the corner of Alameda & Griggs. Entrance for everyone is on the South side of the building off May Avenue. There will be over 1,000 handmade bowls by Las Cruces Potters’ Guild members, music, a silent auction, and take-out available. Information and tickets at elcaldito.org; pottersguildlc.org; and on Facebook – Potters’ Guild of Las Cruces and El Caldito Soup Kitchen; or call El Caldito (575)525-3831.
