January 10, 2013 – Las Cruces, NM - On this edition of PUENTES, Emily Guerra bridges the community with local professional artists, Carolyn Bunch and her son, Tony Pennock. They both recall painting murals as children, and have made it their life’s work.
Bunch moved to New Mexico in the 1950’s, and has been involved in the arts as a public school teacher, an artist and gallery owner of Adobe Patio Gallery. She is currently one of fifteen artists featured at an exhibition at the Adobe Patio Gallery in Mesilla.
Pennock has done over 40 public art projects in the Mesilla Valley and regionally, working in large scale murals and architectural mosaics. When you first enter the city his art can be seen on some of the large water tanks, and in downtown Las Cruces.
