Today on a special Voice of the Public we’ll take a look and analyze the primary elections in New Mexico. The number of ballots cast in the Democratic presidential primary election in New Mexico outpaced previous years as overall turnout by eligible voters from both parties was above average. Preliminary results show one in three eligible Democratic and Republican voters — or more than 325,000 — cast ballots across the state. That's more than in each of the presidential primaries and caucuses in 2004, 2008 and 2012. What do primary election numbers say for the upcoming general election?
