VIVA DONA ANA, a Camino Real Consortium Project

    

July 5, 2013 – Las Cruces, NM - On this edition of PUENTES, Emily Guerra bridges the community with  Las Cruces Mayor Pro Tem and City Councilor for District 6, Sharon Thomas, and with Dona Ana County Commissioner for District 1, Billy G. Garrett. They will tell us about building a sustainable future with Viva Dona Ana, a new regional project which focuses on meeting today’s needs, and building for the generations of tomorrow.

The Viva Dona Ana team includes a consortium of local governments, non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and consultant partners dedicated to planning and implementing projects to improve the future of the county through public participation. Upcoming workshops with Viva Dona Ana are scheduled for: Tuesday, July 9th in Las Cruces at Alma d’arte Charter School Auditorium, 402 W. Court Avenue – 3-5 p.m. and 6-9 p.m.; on Wednesday, July 10th in Hatch at Hatch Community Center, 837 Hwy 187 from 6-8 p.m.; and in Chaparral at the Betty McKnight Community Center, 190 County Line Drive, from 6-8 p.m.; and in La Union at La Union Catholic Church Parish Hall, 1320 Mercantile Road, from 6-8 p.m.; and on Thursday, July 11th in Radium Springs at Radium Springs Community Center, 1260 Linbeck Road, from 2-4 p.m.; and in Butterfield at the Butterfield Community Center, 9350 Berry Patch Avenue, from 6-8 p.m.; and in Sunland Park at Sunland Park Senior Center, 1000 McNutt Road, 6-8 p.m. The public is invited to participate at all of the workshops.
