The City of Las Cruces Parks & Recreation Department will be working with Wasser & Wasser Inc. to remove and replace 14 trees from Country Club Estates Park, 2800 Spitz St. The trees marked for removal are in various stages of decline and some have been deemed hazardous. The work is scheduled to begin Friday, Jan. 31, 2020.
Replacement trees, as well as additional trees, will be planted after the old trees are removed. Newly planted trees will be better suited to beautify the park and provide more shade. Planting is scheduled to be completed before the end of the winter planting season.
