Police Hope to ID Suspects Who Used Stolen Bank Cards

LAS CRUCES, N.M. - Las Cruces Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that helps identify two young men suspected of using bank cards that were stolen during an auto burglary.

Las Cruces police learned that a vehicle parked at the Telshor 12 movie theater was broken into on Saturday, Oct. 26. Among items stolen were credit and debit cards.

Shortly after the bank cards were stolen, two young men used them to purchase merchandise at the Mesilla Valley Mall. Surveillance cameras at J.C. Penney captured images of the men as they walked through the store. Video can be seen on the Las Cruces Police Department's Facebook page.

Anyone with information that can help identify either one or both of the suspects is asked to call Las Cruces Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Tips can also be provided through the Las Cruces Crime Stoppers app, “P3 TIPS.” The app is available through the App Store on most devices.

Those who provide tips through Crime Stoppers do not have to leave their own name and will remain completely anonymous.
