Native American Market Coming To Mesilla

The Friends of Organ Mountains Desert Peaks and New Mexico State University’s Native American Business Student Association (NABSA) have partnered together to sponsor the Annual Native American Market on November 9th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and November 10th 10 a.m. to 3 p.m in the Mesilla Plaza in New Mexico.  Here is a statement from the Friends of the Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks:

This event is to showcase the amazing talents of Native Americans to the Las Cruces/Mesilla community; celebrating Native American Heritage Month; and increase awareness of our cultures. The Native American Market will showcase traditional dances on November 9h at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and November 10th at 11 a.m and 1 p.m.

NABSA promotes and broadens the interest and knowledge of business and government among Native American students. NABSA also provides business students with an outlet, which facilitates the exchange of ideas, encouragement, and moral support.

The Native American Market benefits our student organization by attending conferences, putting on other cultural events to bring more awareness to native cultures, and also helps by organizing workshops so students can utilize tools in future endeavors.

This event will feature Arts & Crafts vendors, an Indian Taco Sale hosted by NABSA and of course Native American performances. Patrick Nolan, Executive Director of Friends of Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks states "The Friends of the Organ Mountains Desert Peaks is excited to host the 7th Annual Native American Market. This market serves to honor the amazing history, culture, and beauty of our region and our monument".

Join us at the 7th Annual Native American Market this year at the Mesilla Plaza in Mesilla, NM on November 9th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and November 10th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is an outdoor event. Please bring your own tables, chairs, umbrellas, canopies, etc. for your comfort of enjoying the Native American Market.
