Miranda Romero, Las Cruces High School

KRWG Public Media features interviews with the Las Cruces Mayor's Top Teens in between programs on KRWG-TV.  KRWG is also featuring Top Teens on its website.

Miranda is on the Parks and Recreation Youth Board for Las Cruces, where she provides input about various topics.  She is an active member of the St. Paul’s Youth Group where she has volunteered every summer at their Vacation Bible School.  She volunteers with El Calvario in Las Cruces, where she donates her time to clean each month. She also is an active volunteer in all community events with the Donate Life Transplant group, where she actively participates in meetings and community events.  She volunteers as a youth mentor at Tombaugh Elementary School, where she helps kids during special events, including Fall Festival, Winter Fair, and Stargazing Science Night. She also works with an afterschool program class where she helps children with reader’s theater activities.

She maintains a high grade point average while taking AP and dual credit classes and is a member of the National Honor Society.  She is also involved in student government and served as Junior Class President. Miranda is a member of the Las Cruces School of Dance and Music, is on the Track and Field Team, and is an active member of the Bulldawg Broadcast at Las Cruces High School.
