KRWG Public Media features interviews with the Las Cruces Mayor's Top Teens in between programs on KRWG-TV. KRWG is also featuring Top Teens on its website.
Leonella Vazquez is scheduled to graduate from Mayfield High School in 2021. She became involved in serving the community, even though she’s only been here a short time. She participated with the Dress a Child program and has helped to clean up the Rio Grande River. She donates her time to help care for small children in daycare. She has helped teachers and students translate between Spanish and English. Leonella has also been involved in many activities: National Honor Society, Hispanic Honor Society, MHS Spanish Club, MHS FFA (formerly known as Future Farmers of America), and MHS Veterinary Science.
