Las Cruces police are investigating the death of a 2-year-old girl who was unresponsive when taken to a local hospital Thursday morning.
The toddler was transported to Mountainview Regional Medical Center about 3 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 6. She was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly after arrival.
The cause of the girl’s death is unknown at this time.
Investigators are interviewing the girl’s relatives and potential witnesses. No charges have been filed and no arrests have been made as the investigation is ongoing.
