Amnesty Week at Thomas Branigan Memorial Library will be October 21 through October 27, 2018.
“During Amnesty Week, patrons who have overdue items, including extremely overdue items, can return them and have all fines and fees associated with that item waived and their accounts cleared.” said Margaret Neill, library administrator.
Amnesty will only apply to items returned in good, usable condition. It does not apply to materials that are no longer usable, nor does it apply to items borrowed from other libraries via inter-library loan.
Patrons can bring their items to the Circulation Desk to have them checked in and the fines waived. Patrons who receive amnesty will have their cards restored to New Borrower status.
