Las Cruces International Film Festival to make in-person return in March 2022

The Las Cruces International Film Festival is making its way back to the silver screen next spring. The seventh annual LCIFF, presented by New Mexico State University and Visit Las Cruces, will run from March 2 through 6. The five-day festival will feature film screenings, workshops, panel discussions and celebrity meet and greet opportunities.

The LCIFF brings independent films to an ever-growing audience of indie film lovers in the Southwest. From features to documentaries, short subjects to animation, and a number of foreign films, the festival will screen more than 100 films at Allen Theaters Cineport 10 in Las Cruces.
“I’m very excited to have the 2022 festival live and in person,” said Ross Marks, festival director and NMSU Creative Media Institute professor. “Movies are meant to be viewed on the big screen with an audience. Next spring will mark our return to the movie theatre for surround sound and a communal viewing experience. LCIFF 2022 promises to be our best year yet!”

Festival organizers continue to monitor the ongoing COVID-19 situation closely and are following latest recommendations from the New Mexico Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control.

Tickets and celebrity announcements will be released as the festival approaches.
