Las Cruces Downtown Parking Restrictions

City of Las Cruces Codes Enforcement is reminding motorists about the Main Street parking restrictions in Downtown Las Cruces.

Given the variety of festivities and closures associated with the upcoming Veteran’s Day Holiday, City of Las Cruces Codes Enforcement is reminding motorists to be aware of the weekend parking restrictions along Main Street. Signs are posted along Main Street Downtown to indicate when parking is allowed and when it is prohibited.

On Saturdays, between the hours of 6 a.m. and 3 p.m., Main Street from the roundabout to Bowman Avenue is leased to the Farmer’s and Crafts Market of Las Cruces. Any vehicles parked within the market boundaries during this leased time will be ticketed or towed at the owner’s expense. For information about a towed vehicle, contact: Mesilla Valley Regional Dispatch Authority at (575) 526-0795.

There are numerous free City-owned surface parking lots downtown that motorists are invited to use, particularly if they plan to park overnight. There are also many free on-street parking spaces throughout the downtown area which can be used during the Farmer’s and Crafts Market of Las Cruces.

The City of Las Cruces would also like to remind motorists to drink responsibly and, if needed, use some of the low-cost taxi services available through Project Home or Crimson Cab.

Project Home is a collaborative initiative between Doña Ana County and Las Cruces Shuttle and Taxi by which a person or group who has been drinking can call (575) 524-TAXI to be picked up for a discounted ride home. For up to two people, the taxi fee is a flat $5 to any destination within Doña Ana County. For up to four people, the flat fee is $10. Grant funding pays the balance of the transportation charges.

Crimson Cab is a student safety program which offers free rides to NMSU students, with a valid NMSU Student ID, anywhere within the Las Cruces City Limits. NMSU students can request a ride by calling: (575) 524- TAXI.
