The City of Las Cruces Parks & Recreation Department will remove and replace 14 trees at Country Club Estates Park, 2800 Spitz St. beginning Friday, Jan. 31. The trees marked for removal are in various states of decline and some have been deemed hazardous.
Replacement trees, as well as additional trees, will be planted after the old trees are removed. Newly planted trees will be better suited to beautify the park and provide more shade. Planting is scheduled to be completed before the end of the winter planting season.
