Katie Allbright, Las Cruces High School

KRWG Public Media features interviews with the Las Cruces Mayor's Top Teens in between programs on KRWG-TV.  KRWG is also featuring Top Teens on its website.

Katie was an officer and member of both the City Slicker 4-H Club and the Dona Ana County 4-H Council; she was involved in the following community service projects - Collected and donated clothing and supplies to Community of Hope, Jardin De Los Ninos, and La Casa; Collected and donated toys and paper goods to Ronald McDonald House in Albuquerque; Collected and donated fabric and fabric scraps to a ladies’ group in Palomas, Mexico.

She was also an officer and member of the Las Cruces High School HOSA club, which participated in several community service activities.

As the President of the Las Cruces Parks and Recreation Youth Board, Katie participated in the following community service activities: Volunteering hours with the Soup Kitchen, helping with activities for children during Anti-Crime week, Collecting canned goods from all LCPS schools, and donating to various shelters throughout the city of Las Cruces.

Katie also received an Academic Letter of Achievement from Las Cruces High School and was invited to join the National Honor Society.  She was also selected to serve on the Las Cruces High School Student Advisory Committee and elected as a Dona Ana County 4-H Council Officer.
